ABSORPTION PLATE SOLAR WATER HEATER
We want to give our absorber plates the required rigidity in a cost-efficient way. In this respect, the flatness of the flange edge is of great importance for the next step; bonding a glass plate, which is carried out in-house.
After intensive consultation with the customer, it became clear that the size of the penetration (which gives rigidity to the plate), turned out to be of minor importance. This makes it possible to press several plates at the same time. The final number was determined experimentally, of course also depending on the choice of material. We opted for specially pre-treated aluminium with a thickness of 0.8 mm. In addition, during the test phase, we determined the results in such a way that no post-pressing was necessary.
By making use of this phenomenon – one of the great advantages of rubber pressing technology – we were able to determine in a simple way how many sheets could be pressed at the same time. In combination with the ‘decaying’ of any finishing operation, we created a huge cost advantage. An additional advantage: no damage is caused to the coated surface during pressing with rubber. In many cases also absolutely not permissible!
